Every member of the family have their own duties and responsibilities to build a solid family. We all know that parents have bigger responsibilities. They work hard for their family so that they will not have a financial problem. But children have responsibilities too. In common, they show their love, care and respect to all the members of the family.
In my own family, I have different responsibilities. Although I am the youngest, I still do my best to build a solid family. As a daughter of two working doctors, I must understand that they are busy and do not have enough time for me, so I should follow the house rules. The first rule that I really need to do is to focus on my studies so I will have a successful future and to be independent. The second rule is to pray everyday. I always pray before sleeping. I pray for every member of my family. There is a saying that "a family that prays together, stays together". This is the main reason why our family is strong. We all pray together even if we are not together in entering the church. We all have faith in God. We also have cooperation in our house. We help each other in times of needs. We share each others' problems and give advice to it.
Rufino S. Diez, Ma. Vilma V. Diez, Paul Andrei V. Diez, John Robyn V. Diez and Ruviel V. Diez are the members of my happy and strong family. I wish that when we have our family outing, we are complete. Because whenever we go in an outing, we lack a member. My eldest brother, Paul Andrei V. Diez, is working as an electrician in a ship, landing in different countries. He goes home only every six months. My other brother, John Robyn V. Diez, is studying in FEU in Fairview. He goes home only twice a month. While my parents are both busy, working as a doctor. I hope one day that we are all together. Because whenever we are together, I feel happy and proud because I have a strong and happy family. Even though our house is not that pretty, our family is still strong.
I am proudly saying that "I AM A MEMBER OF A SOLID FAMILY!"
My Role in Building a Soild Family
My Father
Every person have their own father. A father who is loving, caring, supportive, thoughtful, open-minded, loyal and protective. He does not want his child to get hurt or to be involved in trouble. He spends time with his children. He takes the time to listen to his kids and have a good, easy chat with them. He also makes time to help them with their homework every night. He teaches his children lessons. He teaches them to have proper manners, to be honest and to be thankful. He protects his family all the time. He will do whatever he can for his family. He will sacrifice himself in order to keep his family away from harm. He is also very responsible in earning money for his family. These are some of the good characteristics and traits of a father.
My father, Rufino S. Diez, differs from all the fathers I met in my life. He is a helpful doctor in his patients, good boss to his office mates, loving father to his children and at the same time, caring husband to his wife. He wants his children to be respectful, honest, clean, happy, prayerful and brave. He always makes sure that we are safe all the time by saying to us "anak text mo ko kapag andun ka na ha?!" He is also very humorous. Making us smile all the time by his corny jokes and sometimes tickling us. He is also very pitiful because he always talks to beggars begging money to him. He even tells jokes to them and giving them money. That is the reason why he is very friendly. He seems to know every people in Maragondon. I think he can be a mayor someday. He is also an early bird because whenever there is a meeting, he is always very early. For example, the meeting will start at 5:30 in the morning, he will be there at 4:30. That is the trait of him that I admire most. He is also very thoughtful because every time I got home from school, he is always asking me "musta school nak?". He is also a loving husband to my mother because whenever my mother has a problem, he comforts her. Whenever I am tired, I am sitting in his lap and he scrapes my head until I sleep. These are some of the traits of my father.
It is natural for children to make mistakes that made their parents angry and disappointed. Whenever I got trouble from school, I am always saying to my father not to tell it from my mother. We always make it secret to my mother because she might punish me. He knows that I am afraid of my mother. He just say to me not to do it again. We are "magkavibes". That shows how kind is my father to me.
I am very blessed because I still have my father. I can still kiss, hug and say "i love you" to him. I really love my father because I am a daddy's girl and I am the apple of an eye of my father because I am the youngest of all his children. He gives me all that I want and I need. That is the reason why he does not want me to rome around in the street by myself because he is very protective to me. He even does not want me to join shooping in SM with my classmates.
We should be thankful to have a father with us. We should show them our love and care. We should also honor them and admire them, like I do.
I LOVE YOU RUFINO S. DIEZ! I ADMIRE YOU! HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! MWAAH!
The Opening of Classes
The opening of classes was really well organized. The surroundings were clean, the tall grasses were completely cut off, the pathways were built properly, the broken structures of the classroom were fixed, new lockers were built, the tables and the chairs were repainted and some old floors of the rooms were changed into tiles. These are all because of the successful launching of Brigada Eskwela held on March 23-28, 2011. Almost all of the parents, students and teachers participated.
